Make Your Business Excel
This hands-on training course guides participants through every stage of building a comprehensive financial model. Using an example case study, you’ll learn how to scope and structure the model, define key assumptions, build calculations, and develop fully integrated three-way financial statements.
You will refresh your Excel skills and frame accounting principles within the contexts of finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis.
You will design a model from scratch, covering every step from layout, scope, and planning to execution. This exercise spans key areas such as revenue modelling, cost of goods sold, operating expenses, capital expenditures, working capital, financing, corporate tax, and basic what-if analysis.
The session will then shift focus to the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the field, addressing its current capabilities, debunking common myths, and examining the benefits and challenges of AI, including considerations for efficiency, privacy, confidentiality, and intellectual property.
Course notes, exercises and solutions are included.
